Road closes for bridge maintenance in Duplin County

KENANSVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A road in Duplin County will be closed for more than a month due to bridge maintenance, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Monday morning, a section of Highway 50 over Tea Swamp near Highway 24 closed. NCDOT says it should reopen by 5 p.m. on March 19.

Drivers are advised to use caution near the area and can detour on Routledge Street along Highway 24.
