PAMLICO COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A private school in Pamlico County will host a groundbreaking for its new campus on Wednesday.

Earl Sadler, the head of Pamlico Christian Academy, stopped by ENC at Three to share more ahead of the event.

He says they started raising funds last April for the new modern school that will serve pre-k through fifth grade students. It will serve about 180 children.

Wednesday’s event marks the beginning of phase one of the plan, according to Sadler. He says phase two will be building another facility on the campus for sixth through twelfth grade students.

There are a total of five phases for the project, including a gym and sports fields.
