Carteret County Democratic Party Headquarters vandalized

CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A political party headquarters in the east was reportedly vandalized in Carteret County.

In a social media post, Chair Katie Tomberlin said she was called Sunday morning in response to vandalism at the Democratic Party office downtown.

She wrote that at some time during the previous evening, a person or persons, threw large rocks and then a very heavy concrete planter into the front window.

Tomberlin says police are involved, as well as state officials and the National Campaign and more information will be released as it is available.
