‘Good boy, Boomer’: K-9 officer locates missing 96-year-old

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) - A K-9 officer helped find a missing 96-year-old man in Florida.

Ray Cornett, who lives near Tampa, went missing on Saturday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office brought in K-9 Boomer to help in its search for Cornett.

Once Boomer became familiar with Cornett’s scent, he started sniffing around.

Boomer found Cornett in a wooded area, a couple of hundred yards from Cornett’s home.

Cornett was in good condition.

Boomer once again proved he is man’s best friend.
