Greenville & Jacksonville Hooters among several closed nationally
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A chain restaurant in Greenville & Jacksonville appears to be among several being closed nationally.
A pre-recorded message at the Hooters restaurant on Greenville Boulevard in Greenville and Western Boulevard in Jacksonville both say that their locations are permanently closed.

On Monday, the chain said that several “underperforming stores” are closing because of tough economic challenges as well as rising food and labor costs.
According to CNN, several other locations closed throughout Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Texas, and Virginia.
CNN reports that taking the closures into account, the chain has about 300 locations worldwide making for a 12% drop since 2018. Hooters maintains that its 40-year-old brand remains “highly resilient and relevant.”
