Three arrested for 2014 murder of Greenville man

The murder case of a Greenville man that has gone unsolved for more than two years is now closed following three arrests.
The Greenville Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and Major Crimes Unit with the assistance of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, have charged Antero Rodrigues, 23, Jerrell Powell, 22, and Kenquonis Mckenzie, 23, with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy for the shooting death of 30-year-old Travis Foreman.
Police say Foreman, who was a validated gang member, was shot multiple times on November 24, 2014 in his apartment on Ridge Place in Greenville. Detectives believe his death was in result of a gang-related dispute.
Rodrigues and Powell were arrested this week in Greenville and are currently in the Pitt County Detention Center. Powell had his first court appearance earlier this week and remains in jail under a $2 million bond; Rodirgues is scheduled to appear before a judge Friday.
Greenville Police say Mckenzie was already in the Pitt County Detention Center on murder charges for the death of 58-year-old Karen Speight, he's also being held on a $2 million bond.
Speight was shot inside her home on Concord Drive on December 30, where she later died at the hospital. Police say she was hit by a stray bullet during a drive-by shooting.
Greenville police say on January 4 after attempting to run from police, McKenzie was caught by Greenville Police K9 Chesty and arrested.
