Man killed, woman injured in Rocky Mount shooting

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) - Two people were shot early this morning in one Eastern Carolina city, and police say one of them has died.

Dequan Dickens, 18, of Rocky Mount, was dead when officers arrived at the 1100 block of Long Avenue around 1:00 a.m. after a ShotSpotter activation.

Khadigah Lineberger was also hit by gunfire and she was taken to Vidant Medical Center for her injuries.
