Greenville economic development group rebrands with new name
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - An economic development group in Greenville is rolling out a new name and brand.
Formerly the Greenville Eastern North Carolina Alliance, the organization is now named Invest Greenville, which officials say better reflects their mission to attract new businesses, jobs, and investment.
Founded in 2019, the group has landed 25 projects, bringing in over $1.6 billion in capital investment and more than 6,000 jobs to Pitt County, according to a news release.
Leaders say the new name, logo, and color scheme are designed to make the organization more recognizable and clearly tied to the city as it markets the area to companies nationwide.
“The mission is still the same, the vision is still the same, and the objectives are still the same,” said Invest Greenville President Josh Lewis. “We wanted to be clear with our name and our brand and communicate that when you look us up and see Invest Greenville, you automatically assume what we are trying to accomplish.”
The City of Greenville, Pitt County government, Greenville Utilities, and more than 120 private-sector investors are backing Invest Greenville.
