Big Rock Day 3: ‘Bankwalker’ brings back 449.7 lb blue marlin

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) - A blue marlin has been caught on the third day of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament.
‘Bankwalker’ came back just before 9:00 p.m., bringing in a 449.7-pound blue marlin.
The boat hooked up the blue around 2:20 p.m., it took them three hours to boat the fish.
Officials say the Level V Fabulous Fisherman’s Prize of $807,500 remains up for grabs for the first 500-pound Blue Marlin.
No marlins were caught on the first day of the 67th annual tournament, while yesterday, no boats went out in the rough seas.
The total purse for this year’s tournament is $6.3 million.
