Warrants provide troubling details on Farmville man’s arrest for child porn
PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Arrest warrants are providing more details as a Farmville man faces multiple sexual exploitation of a minor charges.
On February 25th, an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) case was assigned to the Major Crimes Unit of the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office. Pitt County detectives, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, identified 44-year-old James Samuelson, of Farmville, as the offender.
Following multiple search warrants and interviews, Samuelson was arrested on Thursday and charged with five counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor as well as five counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
According to warrants obtained by WITN, Samuelson was filming material containing visuals of minors engaging in sexual activity. One warrant says a girl was between 8 and 10 years old, while another says a girl was between 12 and 14 years old.
Samuelson remains in custody at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
