DEPUTIES: Man here illegally arrested for child sex crimes

CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Deputies say a man in the country illegally has been charged with child sex crimes in an Eastern Carolina county.

On Wednesday, detectives with the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nestor Angel-Angel of Newport for enticing a child to send nude photos over social media for money.

Deputies also say evidence showed that Angel had sexually abused a child.

The 27-year-old Angel was charged with indecent liberties with a child and disseminating obscenities, both felonies. He is being held on a $150,000.00 secured bond.

Additionally, deputies say ICE has issued a detainer and Angel will be transferred to their custody once his court case is finished.

Deputies say additional charges are expected in this ongoing investigation.
