Police say a man shot an employee of a Durham medical facility before turning the gun on himself.

Durham police say UNC Family Medicine was on lockdown Monday morning as officers responded to a report of a shooter.

It happened in the parking lot of the medical center on Mayfair Street.

They say it appears 33-year-old Lequintin Ford shot 28-year-old Victoria St. Hillaire, and then shot himself. Both the man and the woman died at the scene.

Police said St. Hillaire worked at the facility while the couple had a prior dating relationship.
