Police say a hearse was stolen from an Eastern Carolina funeral home, and now a man is charged with the crime.

Javier Gray, of Fayetteville, was arrested last Thursday by Goldsboro police. He is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and breaking and entering.

Police say the Cadillac hearse was stolen from Haskins Funeral Home on Ash Street back on June 6th. The hearse was found the next day at a body shop in Snow Hill.

The 22-year-old Gray was jailed on a $9,000 secured bond.
