Man arrested for rape after police say he forced his way into second home

A New Bern man has been arrested for raping a woman after police say he forced his way into another home two days after the initial attack.
Rudolph Williams has been charged with first degree forcible rape, first degree kidnapping, and assault with a deadly weapon for the October 13th attack on Chapman Street.
Police say two days later and less than a mile away on Neuse Boulevard, a man knocked on a door and then forced his way inside.
Once he realized there was a second person there, police say the man ran from the home.
The 21-year-old was spotted a short distance away, police say, thanks to a description provided by the victims.
In the second case, Williams was charged with breaking and entering with intent to terrorize or injure, and assault on a female.
Williams was jailed on a $1 million bond.
