Pepsi Spotlight: Goldsboro’s Aziyah Boyer

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - When Goldsboro won the 3A Girls Basketball State Championship last week, it meant a little something extra to their captain, Aziyah Boyer.

A Senior on the team who led the Cougars in points, rebounds, and blocks, Goldsboro Basketball runs in her family.

When the Cougars last won it all (in 1982), her grandma was the starting center on the team, and watched Aziyah play her old position during this run back to the title.

Outside of basketball, Boyer finds herself interested in a career in criminal justice, where she aspires to become a lawyer who helps people and communities in need.
