WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) - As a four-year starter at Washington, Chaise Smith is close to breaking the all-time scoring record (1,940 points), which was set by Calvin Daniels in 2006.

This season, he is also second in the state in assists, averaging 8.2 per game.

“I feel like that’s a big part of us winning,” Chaise shared, “keeping my teammates involved, keeping them happy, if they get out of the game, I get out of the game.”

As a team, Washington is 14-4 and tied for first place in the Three Rivers (4A) Conference, with a 6-1 conference mark.
