Martin County woman pleads guilty to animal cruelty charge

MARTIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Martin County woman was sentenced to several months of probation after pleading guilty to animal cruelty.

Jessica Waters, 32, of Jamesville, was sentenced to 6 months of unsupervised probation and must complete 27 hours of community services.

It was back in January that Waters was charged with misdemeanor cruelty to animals.

A criminal summons says that Waters “unlawfully and willfully did intentionally wound, deprive of necessary sustenance an animal Great Dane dog…”
