Havelock bank robber gets away on bicycle

HAVELOCK, N.C. (WITN) - Police in Havelock are looking for a bank robber who made his getaway on a bicycle.
The robbery at Truist Bank happened around 2:30 p.m. today at their East Main Street location.
Police say the man said he had a bomb and demanded money. The robber quickly left the bank without any loot.
There were no injuries, according to police.
The robber is a tall, thin man in his 20s or 30s, police say. He was wearing a red or maroon hooded sweatshirt, a mask, dark pants, red sneakers, and carrying a dark backpack.
He was last seen riding a BMX bicycle through the Food Lion parking lot near the bank.
