MANTEO, N.C. (WITN) - The National Park Service will delay the opening of several sites due to Hurricane Erin.
The Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and the Wright Brothers National Memorial will open at noon on Thursday.
The Park Service says the Bodie Island Lighthouse will remain closed on Thursday and will reopen after storm assessments are complete. All other facilities at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore will remain closed until further notice.
Beachfronts in Rodanthe and Buxton are temporarily closed as the area is under a tropical storm warning and a storm surge warning.
