Elizabeth City driver license office temporarily closed for upgrades
ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) - The NCDMV says a driver license office in the east will be closed this weekend for upgrades.
The office in Elizabeth City will be closed today and tomorrow so crews can perform office interior upgrades.
The office, located at 1164 US 17, will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 18th.
The DMV says appointments scheduled for today have been rescheduled. Customers may also be serviced at other offices in Ahoskie and Nags Head.
During the closure today, walk-in customers are welcome at the following locations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- Ahoskie, 242 N.C. Hwy. 42 W.
- Nags Head, 2808 S. Croatan Hwy. (U.S. Hwy. 158 E.)
- Williamston, 305 E. Main St., Suite 116 (Martin Co. Government Center)
- Greenville, 4651 N. Creek Dr. (DOT/DMV Building)
Customers can also visit the Greenville location on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
The DMV does offer driver license renewals and other services online, and they encourage customers to visit NCDMV.gov to see if their service needs can be met online.
