Man charged in Goldsboro fatal shooting
GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A man has been arrested for a fatal shooting in Goldsboro that happened in early February.
Goldsboro police say one of the people shot, 42-year-old Icshon Jones, is facing murder charges.
The shooting happened a little before 5:30 p.m. on February 28th along North Berkeley Boulevard near West New Hope Road, police say.
According to officers, after getting of reports of gunfire, they found 32-year-old Quandre Weeks dead at the scene.
Police say Jones arrived later Friday at a local hospital with gunshot wounds and was airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center where he was in critical condition.
Jones is being charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon for a previous shooting.
The man is under a $1.52 million secured bond.
