ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A busy intersection in Onslow County will switch to an all-way stop on Tuesday.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation says the intersection of Highway 111 and Haw Branch Road will become an all-way stop to prevent serious crashes.

Depending on the weather, crews will install new stop signs, flashers, and pavement markings tomorrow.

NCDOT says it cleared vegetation to improve sight distance but is switching to an all-way stop because of ongoing safety concerns.
