BELHAVEN, N.C. (WITN) - The Town of Belhaven says the Ross Landing NC Wildlife Boat Ramp is back open after being closed for more than four months for repairs.
The $900,000 ramp had only been open a little more than a month when it was shut down in June for repairs.
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission said that boat access on the ramp on Highway 99 at Pantego Creek closed because the water was not deep enough for some boats to use it.
There’s been no word yet on how much the repair work cost and who paid for it.
The Town of Belhaven says the reopening comes just in time for the Belhaven Trout Tournament & Festival, which is this Friday and Saturday.
