WATCH: Vance County jail escapees caught on camera

HENDERSON, N.C. (WITN) - This afternoon, surveillance video from inside a North Carolina jail was released, showing two men escaping the facility yesterday.

The FBI said the men -- Michael Miles Jr. and Lishawn Knott -- escaped from the Vance County jail around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Officials did not say how they got out.

Authorities considered both men “armed and dangerous,” and said they may be together. They reportedly knew each other prior to their jail stint and were being held on drug and gun charges.

A reward of up to $20,000 is available for the capture of each escaped inmate.

Officials did not say where the two escaped inmates could be headed.

The FBI said Miles is 33 years old, while Knott is 21.

Miles is 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and a prominent neck tattoo. Knott is 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, and also has black hair and brown eyes, and has numerous face tattoos, including a cross on his forehead.

The FBI said members of the community should lock vehicles, garages, and sheds.

Anyone who has information regarding Miles or Knott should call 911.
