GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) - A mother is now behind bars after Goldsboro police say she hid her daughter’s death from authorities six years ago and took off.

In March 2019, Goldsboro officers went to check on a home on Hunters Place and found Natasha South-Boyle dead. They say foul play has been ruled out in her death.

Identified as Natasha’s mom, Lisa Boyle was arrested for failure to report a death the next day. She didn’t show in court in January 2020 after posting bond, according to police.

Thomasville police captured and arrested Lisa Boyle on outstanding charges for failure to appear in court and hit-and-run property damage over the weekend.

The 65-year-old Boyle was taken to the Davidson County Detention Center on a $3,000 secured bond.
