MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) - All three Morehead City Fire-EMS stations battled a fire Thursday night at Carteret Health Care.

When firefighters arrived, flames were coming out of the roof on the backside of the building.

The fire was not near any patient rooms, and there are no injuries.

The call came in around 8:45 p.m., and flames were coming from the roof of a chiller room by the loading dock, along the Bridges Street side of the building.

By 9:04 p.m., the fire was extinguished and crews remained on the rooftop to evaluate the scene and complete overhaul work until 9:30 p.m.

According to Fire Chief Courtney Wade, the fire appears to have started due to construction work being conducted on the roof.
