Greenville police investigate deadly shooting
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - The Greenville Police Department is now investigating a shooting that left two people dead.
Friday around 4:30 p.m., officers went to the 3000 block of Caldwell Court after receiving reports of a man who had been shot.
While investigating, a second gunshot victim was discovered in the parking lot near 307 Kristin Drive. Both men died from their injuries.
Preliminary findings suggest that the victims had arranged to meet the suspect or suspects in the area. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.
A person believed to be involved has been identified and interviewed by detectives and as of now, no charges have been filed against this person.
At this time, one of the victims has not yet been identified. The Greenville Police Department is working with the Pitt County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine their identity.
