People v. Griffin rallies held across the state
Features voters whose ballots are threatened by losing candidate Jefferson Griffin
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Republican Jefferson Griffin plans to appeal a Wake County court loss in his effort to invalidate more than 60,000 North Carolina ballots cast during the November elections, according to WRAL.
After the election, Griffin challenged more than 60,000 ballots. State elections officials rejected that challenge and he appealed through the court system.
Three months after Election day, this remains the only contested statewide race in the country. This is what sparked the people v. Griffin rallies which are being held across every region of the state.
“Well he is doing this because its the Trump way of doing things. To constantly say that I won, refuse to admit that I have lost. Its the MAGA way that they succeeded. Part of this is to stand up and say after some point you have to admit that you did not win the 2020 election and you did not win this Supreme Court seat in North Carolina,” Greenville rally attendee, Jeffrey Mathis said.
