FARMVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Everyone was sent home for the day after a carbon monoxide leak at one Pitt County school.
Farmville Central High School announced Thursday morning that it is closed all day.
A school spokesperson told WITN that the leak happened before the facility opened, so students were not inside.
School officials say firefighters will take at least three hours to clear the building, and buses are currently taking students home.
No injuries or poisonings were reported.
The school will share updates later today on whether it reopens Friday.
