Pepsi Spotlight: J.H. Rose’s Kasyn Chase

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - With an endless motor, Kasyn Chase has excelled at every sport he’s tried.

The son of former ECU defensive back Kyle Chase, he stars at safety on the Rampants’ defense, while playing almost every skill position on the offense. Last year, he scored 15 total touchdowns (from receiver, running back, and wildcat), which led the team.

Then right after that season ended, he led the basketball team in scoring with 16.6 points per game, on a group that earned a 2-seed in 6A.

Training for both year-round, he will train for one while in-season in the other, somehow mustering enough energy for it all.

As a kid, he was also a member of a State Champion Little League Baseball team that went down to Warner Robbins, GA, for Regionals.

Heading into his Senior year now, he’s talking to college coaches, but has not picked one sport over the other.
