ECU Baseball drops Regionals game to UNC 7-5
Pirates will play elimination game against VCU at noon on Sunday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WITN) - UNC Baseball defeated ECU 7-5 in the winner’s bracket of the Chapel Hill Regional Saturday evening.
In a double-elimination format, the Pirates will now play VCU in the losers’ bracket at noon on Sunday. The winner will face the Tar Heels again in the championship, but will need to beat them twice to win the region.
ECU beat Tennessee on Friday in 14 innings, and then the Volunteers lost to the Rams on Saturday to end their season.
The Pirates are now 1-2-1 against North Carolina on the year after splitting a series with them in February of the regular season.
