Annual pumpkin patch now open at Temple Church
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Halloween is just over a month out, and people are already stocking up on decorations.
Temple Church has opened its annual pumpkin patch on Fire Tower Road. The church has held this event for many years, and it remains its largest annual fundraiser. The money raised goes to the church’s youth ministry.
Pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and price ranges are available at the patch. Temple Church Pastor Terry Mosley said the funds will help programs such as summer camps, Bible competitions and missionary trips.
“It also helps us with outreach to the community,” Mosley said. “It gets us in contact with other people who come by. We get to talk to people, share with people the ministry. It’s been great all the way around.”
Chrysanthemums are also available at the pumpkin patch.
Mosley said the church will host a fall festival on November 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which includes a petting zoo, train, and fun games.
