City of Kinston live crime map now available

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - The City of Kinston says it has a new way to share crime data with the public, enabling residents to stay informed about crime activity in the community.

The KPD Crime Map is now active on the police department’s website.

The map provides a visual representation of crimes through mapping and analytics, and can also send automated alerts about nearby crime. This data will have daily updates.

The police department says it is the latest effort at promoting transparency and enhancing public safety.
