Jersey Mikes Day of Giving to benefit Maynard Children’s Hospital

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Jersey Mikes and Maynard Children’s Hospital are joining forces once again for their annual Day of Giving.

The Maynard Children’s Hospital collaborates with 19 Jersey Mike’s Subs locations in eastern NC for the 15th Annual March “Month of Giving” campaign to support local charities. This Wednesday, March 26th and during the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order. The Month of Giving campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will give 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – to Maynard Children’s Hospital.

There are 18 participating locations. One in Goldsboro, all four in Greenville, Havelock, Jacksonville (Western Blvd location only), Kinston, Morehead City, New Bern, Roanoke Rapids, Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Washington, Williamston, Beaufort, two in Wilson, and Winterville.

The goal is to raise money to help sick and injured children at Maynard Children’s Hospital! Funds raised help to purchase items such as lifesaving equipment like an ECMO machine (heart and lung bypass), support the amazing Child Life program, all the way to diversionary items like video games and crafts.

Last year raised $148,000 locally bringing total giving since 2009 to more than $852,000.

This year could push them over $1 million!
