DEPUTIES: Man arrested on burglary charges in Martin County

MARTIN COUNTY N.C. (WITN) - Officials in WIlliamston say they are investigating a reported burglary on Friday.

Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office were called to Ballard Road in Williamston, around 2:00 am regarding a burglary and robbery.

Following an investigation, Greenville Police say they located and arrested 30-year-old Bryant Battle.

Officials say Battle was charged with the following:

-First Degree Burglary

-Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon

-Assault with a Deadly Weapon

-Assault on a Female

-Interfering with a 911 Emergency Call

Battle is currently being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
