ECU new football staff and players bring positivity to the group, Daoust leaves for Pitt
ECU seeking special teams and defensive ends coach following departure
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) -There are many new faces on the ECU football team both players and coaches. Head Coach Mike Houston spoke about bringing the crew together for vast improvement.
“There is a lot of positive enthusiasm, a lot of positive energy around our building right now. A credit to our new staff members and how they have really come in and meshed well with our returning staff members,” says Houston, “I think we could say the same thing for the players. I think we had 21 mid-year new guys join our team. Players have done a great job of bringing them in and making them feel like part of the brotherhood.”
ECU Special Teams Coach and Defensive Assistant Coach Tim Daoust has left for Pitt in the ACC. He’s been with ECU for the past three seasons. Coach Houston says they are already searching for his replacement.
Former ECU wide receiver Blake Proehl hopes to get called to Hollywood. He shared he will be on this season of American Idol. He has an album streaming called “Chapters”.
