Local authorities have arrested a man they say is responsible for the murder of another man last week.
Back on September 18th, the Nash County Sheriff's Office was called out to the 7900 block of Edwards Road in Castalia for a report of a man shot.
A week later, on Monday, September 25, Joseph Anstead was charged with first degree murder of Danny McCalston.
Anstead is being held under no bond at the Nash County Jail. He's expected in court Tuesday.
Investigators are not releasing any other details at this time.
