Child rescued after climbing into claw machine, getting stuck
MASON, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) - First responders in Ohio were called upon to help with a unique rescue earlier this week.
Mason police and firefighters responded to the Mason Community Center around 1 p.m. on Monday regarding a child trapped inside a claw machine game.
Video from the community center shows the child walking up to the machine and, about 30 seconds later, seemingly determined to get a prize, climbing into the machine through the prize chute.
Once the child was spotted in the machine, crews then wheeled it into a nearby store, where first responders began to work on freeing the boy.
Video shows the child running into the arms of an adult after being freed from the machine.
Officials said the child was not injured in the ordeal.
