Billy Bob the dog is still looking for a forever home after 1,000+ days in a shelter
BATAVIA, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) – A dog in Ohio is still looking for his forever home after spending more than 1,000 days in a shelter.
It’s been almost three years since Billy Bob arrived at the League for Animal Welfare in Batavia, according to the shelter’s Facebook post. He is almost 9 years old.
There have been some promising meet-and-greets with potential families, but no luck, the shelter said.
The shelter said Billy Bob is a lover and fine with other dogs. He loves peanut butter, playing ball and snuggling.
Billy Bob would prefer a home without cats or small children, “overall he’s a quiet, senior dog that can fit pretty easily into a loving home,” the shelter said.
On Wednesday, the League for Animal Welfare said that Billy Bob is going on day 1,056 at the shelter.
“That’s not fair to any dog, let alone a senior dog. Please, help us find his family,” they wrote.
The shelter said they would be willing to do an out-of-state adoption.
If you are interested in adopting Billy Bob, call the shelter at 513-735-2299 or visit their website here.
