Joseph Miranda was run over by farming equipment at his workplace in Baltimore, Maryland on July 20, 2006. Originally ruled an accident, Joseph’s death has since been reclassified as a homicide.
"This was an intentional act of driving into traffic the wrong way," the prosecutor said. The woman is charged with six counts of murder in the death of a couple and 10-year-old daughter.
“How can you sit back? The rapidity with which some of these laws have taken place is very frightening. It’s happening way too quickly,” one activist said.
Proponents of the bill say it will protect religious freedom. Critics however, say it will be used to discriminate against LGBTQ people.
