With Easter this weekend and families forced to stay at home, the Easter Bunny came to them Wednesday with the help of a local group.
Governor Roy Cooper recently issued an order that creates more flexibility in law enforcement training schedules during the state of emergency so that people training for new positions can pause their training and start at a later date.
The state once again had its deadliest day, with 799 fatalities in just 24 hours. New hospitalizations and ICU admissions are at their lowest levels since the coronavirus crisis began. Authorities say it's a sign that social distancing is working, but also warn people not to be complacent.
It starts off as a harmless enough request, but it could land you in prison and ruin you financially.
“I definitely could say that it’s one of the most uplifting parts of our days when we could do one of these drive-bys,” Officer Luis Vasquez said.
"My baby's gone for $20.64," Leilani Jordan's mother said.
All 750 patients and staff members at Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, 30 miles outside Pittsburgh, are presumed infected.
