In its annual report, the Southern Poverty Law Center largely attributes this 43 percent increase to the policies and rhetoric of the Trump administration.
Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 147 nursing homes in 27 states had patients with COVID-19, and the problem has only worsened since.
"I think in some of the metro areas we were late in getting people to follow the 15-day guidelines," the White House coronavirus response coordinator said on "TODAY."
The incident began Sunday night when officers arrived for calls reporting a dispute between roommates, police said.
The acknowledgment came after a reported move to Los Angeles and a tweet from President Donald Trump.
