The partnership between UFCD and ECU serves as a collaborative model that can be replicated in other U.S. dental schools and health education programs, making a positive impact on public health through a more research-informed and evidence-based workforce.
The naming honors Golden LEAF’s recent investment of $1.9 million in the Eastern Region Pharma Center that operates out of the building, as well as more than $9 million in support of ECU’s efforts to increase economic opportunity in eastern North Carolina.
“If conditions appear potentially threatening, decisions will be made regarding university operations,” the university says. “Any official statements regarding class or work schedules will be announced using the ECU Alert system.”
Awards are presented to deserving alumnae who have achieved excellence in education, business, health sciences, fine arts, performing arts, public service, media, sports, professional services and research.
