Deputies in Pamlico County said while their shooting investigation started with four victims, one of those victims has now been charged in that very case.

Investigators said 28-year-old Steven Squires of Bayboro was shot and killed on Friday night. Deputies said 27-year-old Demario Himbry and 25-year-old Terrelle Greene were also shot that same night.

Himbry and Greene were both taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries while detectives said the other shooting victim, 20-year-old Davone Bryant, was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center where he refused treatment and left against medical advice.

Deputies said they tracked him down to a hospital in Raleigh and after developing evidence and gathering witness accounts, deputies arrested Bryant for the triple shooting.

Bryant is now facing a murder charge and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill. He is now being held in the Pamlico County Jail without bond.

Deputies say they have a suspect in Friday's shooting that left one man dead and three others wounded.

Steven Squires died in the shooting that happened around 5:00 p.m. near the corner of Water and Vance streets in Bayboro.

Investigators say they have a suspect, but no one has yet been arrested in the shooting.

All four victims left the area after the shooting, while Squires later returned and was found about 50 yards from where it happened.

An argument preceded the shooting, according to investigators.
