A new safety app, co-founded by a survivor of one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history, is making its debut at ECU.
The Live-Safe app hopes to make reporting a crime on university property easier for all ECU students, faculty and staff.
The app has safety features like GPS tagged monitoring, so friends and family can keep track of your travels on campus and see when you arrive at a destination.
The app can keep you anonymous when reporting a crime or automatically send your information and location to police when you call them for faster response times.
The app was co-founded by Kristina Anderson, a survivor of the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, to help prevent future campus tragedies.
Live-Safe is available for Apple and android phones.
