A Craven County high school was selected to represent our whole state at this year's Memorial Day Parade in the nation's capitol.

According to social media posts from Havelock High School, the Havelock High School Marching Rams will represent North Carolina at the Washington, D.C. parade on May 25th .

The parade goes down Constitution Avenue and ends at the National Mall.

High school bands representing each of the 50 states will be in that parade.

This year's parade marks the 70th anniversary of the end to World War II, and the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War.

The high school has started a GoFundMe page to rack up donations to help pay for their trip. For details on how you can contribute, click here.
