Firefighter Charged After Hidden Camera Found Inside Women's Bunk Room

A volunteer firefighter has been arrested after a camera was found inside the women's bunk room at the fire station.

Currituck County deputies have charged Timothy Ladd, Jr. with secretly using a photographic device to gratify sexual desire.

Deputies say the device was found November 20th at Lower Currituck Volunteer Fire Department in Grandy. Also discovered was video from a tanning booth inside the Radio Shack in Grandy.

The 35-year-old Ladd told deputies he had also worked at the Radio Shack from 1998 until February of last year. Deputies believe neither the owner, nor other employees knew that Ladd was recording customers in the tanning booth.

Detectives are continuing to identify victims and they're asking if anyone used the tanning booth at the business during the time Ladd worked there to give them a call at 252-453-2670.

Ladd was arrested Wednesday and got out of jail on a $10,000 secured bond.
