GREENVILLE, NC -- In Saturday's win over UConn, Zay Jones passed Ryan Broyles for second place on the all-time NCAA receptions list with 355, but that wasn't the best thing that happened to Zay during the game.

In the third quarter of ECU's 41-3 win, Philip Nelson found Zay in the back of the endzone for a three-yard touchdown. After the score, it just so happened that Zay was able to celebrate with his mother and father. Such a cool sight to see the stars align for this special family moment.

"It was really poetic," said Zay. "Something I could not have dreamed of. Just to have my family and mom and dad in the back of the endzone to greet me after the score is probably one of the most memorable moments of my life."

"That was very special, especially because we didn't expect it. That was awesome," said Maneesha, Zay's mother.

"It's just awesome to see him shine and get the moment he's always dreamed of and he is not done yet. He's still got that fire burning," said Zay's father, Robert Jones.

Robert played ten seasons in the NFL, winning three Super Bowl rings along the way. As a linebacker, he's had to cover some of the best receivers of all-time, but how about his battles with Zay?

"Hey look, you can ask Isaiah. I will cover him any way. I will cover him. I even beat him in the video games. I've covered some of the great wide receivers. Covering Isaiah? I'm not going to let my son embarrass me," said Robert.

"My dad would probably tear both ACLs trying to cover me. I doubt that. My mom probably could. My mom could probably cover me," said Zay.
