Player of the Week: Ben Harris

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – J.H. Rose senior football and basketball standout Ben Harris is our newest WITN Pepsi Player of the Week!

After winning just three games all of last season, the Rampants are 4-2 this year. The senior wide receiver is a big part of J.H. Rose's offensive success.

"He's not satisfied with what he's done so far," said J.H. Rose head football coach David Wojtecki. "He still wants to work. He still wants to get better. That's the best part about Ben. He's a great student, a great leader and a good kid."

In his varsity football career, Harris has secured 80 receptions for 1,490 yards and 14 touchdowns. In last Friday's 35-14 victory over C.B. Aycock, Harris hauled in nine balls for 170 yards.

"Even when I have a big game, I just feel like I can do more," Harris said.

Through two varsity basketball seasons, Harris is averaging 7.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
