Tar Heel stays alive in 9-11 Little League tournament

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – The 9-11 state baseball tournament continued Friday at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in Greenville where Tar Heel Little League from Greenville needed a win to stay alive, after Myers Park Trinity beat them Thursrday.

Tar Heel not only won, they won big against Winston Salem National The final score was 10-1.

Tar Heel will now play Saturday as they take on Forest City in the elimination game at 12:45.

North State won Thursday over Bull City 3-2, improving to 2-0 in tournament play. They will face Myers Park Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Myers Park is also 2-0.

PREVIOUS STORY:

North State defeated Winston-Salem National, 5-2, in the opening round of the 2019 North Carolina State Little League Baseball Tournament on Wednesday morning at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park.

Myers Park Trinity defeated Forest Hill, 10-0, in four innings in the only other game on Wednesday.
